Portrait of Kashka Singh

hello! I’m Kashka, a Hawai’i-grown, Indo-Fijian California native with a curious mind, great sense of humor, and passion for creating meaningful experiences.

I’m a creative solutionist and interdisciplinary designer whose work ethos is rooted in principles of belonging, love, and play.

Throughout my career I have produced a range of UX and visual design projects and built a versatile skill set, including usability research, HTML/CSS, brand management, and prototyping digital products. I believe that design is a powerful force for delivering solutions, joy, and value for people and communities, and I enjoy collaborating with purpose-driven creatives and organizations.

Previously, I was a Digital (web/UX) Designer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, a conservation nonprofit dedicated to providing exceptional educational experiences for millions of annual (digital and in-person) visitors. After leaving the Aquarium in 2022, I founded Kahani Design Studio as a space where I can explore my story and capability as a vehicle for serving others. In between contracts and freelance work, I create products and visuals that uplift the South Asian diaspora and communities of color.

Outside of work, I’m often at the beach, practicing the piano, experimenting in the kitchen, nurturing my moai, or poring over a book.
